Originally I was a sports and wildlife photographer, with portraiture and street photography, more of a hobby. I loved the fact that every shoot was going to confront me with something different, original and challenging

My wife, Julie, who owns the Bridal Boutique "Gowns & Garters" in Thrapston lead me to wedding photography. Now people have realised that wedding photography can also be covered in a photojournalistic manner, so everyones wedding album really is different, I have been able to use the skills of anticipation, quick thinking, patience, observation and pre-planning from my original genres.

I love the wedding industry. In our shop, seeing the start of the journey, to handing over the finished album after the Big Day.

I photograph a wedding with a mixture of styles. I will take some must have group shots. Here I organise in a friendly manner. I will capture some portraiture shots of the happy couple. This is very informal. The rest of the time you will hardly know I am there, capturing the candids in a non obtrusive modern style to make the moment last a lifetime and thus
